Here are some tips!
1. Set a timeline for accomplishing goals- whether it is in a list or a date on the calendar, writing down what and when you want to complete a task in imperative. Place it somewhere that you will see daily to help keep your goals top of mind.
2. State your goal aloud. Often, saying a goal verbally to someone (anyone really) helps create accountability. Perhaps a colleague or friend will ask you about it next time they see you? If so, you will want to have made progress and this, in and of itself, may be enough to help to follow through.
3. Set a consistent time to assess progress of higher level tasks. The work day can fill with new tasks and "putting out fires", but if you create a habit of focusing on your goals at a certain time each day, this can keep you on track with your larger strategy.
